When I turned 50 about 5 years ago, I promised myself that I will build 5 businesses over the next 20 years. Here’s where I am today
- Community (know how): https://techcelerate.ventures – I speak about Techcelerate Way often these days. Building tech companies in a sustainable manner without chasing investors from the beginning. Get traction before investment.
- Intelligence (UK only though): https://deallite.uk and it’s assets – dedicated to tracking the UK’s tech investment landscape. Both venture-backed tech companies and investors who back them.
- Talent https://skilledup.life – we now have 31,000+ strong free talent pool from 112 countries. This backs Techcelerate Way. Be in a stronger position before asking external capital.
- Progress reporting – Got the code base from CrowdCube over 2 years ago, but not yet managed to fully launch. Building Leaderboard to go with this. Hoping to assemble a free talent team from (3) to run this. And as it gains traction, will then give the best SkilledUp Lifers jobs.
- Techcelerate Fund – not had an exit since 2015, so all my money is invested in above. Had to park after initially trialling with a micro fund.
